Dearest Journal...
Hi friends, I thought I'd share this little journal that I sewed earlier this week. So simple to make!
Choose some thick card, cut and fold some paper for the pages and then sew down the fold with a sewing machine. To help keep everything in place I found another piece of card and used it as binding on both the outside and the inside of the journal.
I used a name label for the front page and taped an envelope in the back inside cover to keep receipts and tickets in. I think I might make some as presents for a few friends.
Tomorrow night we are off to the Bach for a few days, will post photos next week x

Paper Rose
Yesterday I attempted the crete paper rose, and I'm pretty pleased with the result! I take absolutely no credit for the design or concept, I used this tutorial and these templates - but didn't bother with the leaves or calyx.
You will need: one packet of crete paper, scissors, a pencil for curling the petals, floral tape and some paper to use as a template. It took about 45 mins, but it was totally worth it. I really want to make these for a wedding or party. I love the bright colour but I can also imagine pastel or white ones instead of a traditional wedding bouquet...yes please!
And this is where it's living at the moment, until I make a few more!
The Breakfast Jar
Last week I decided that breakfast needed to be a bit more fun!
The Breakfast Jar Number One:
Layered natural yoghurt, raspberries and museli.
The Breakfast Jar Number Two:
Banana smoothie.
The Breakfast Jar Number Three:
Fruit salad topped with shredded coconut mmmm.
J thought I was a little nuts eating my breakfast from a jar, but it didn't bother me!
Today's goal: to spend a good chunk of our day off working on all the projects I've been eyeing up lately.
P.S I made something beautiful with crete paper last night - will post later today x

How Now Brown Card.
I needed a few cards made...so I found a few pieces of card left over from the EP, designed some little messages and used some old magazines as a background. Ta-da!
